He completed his Bachelor's degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at METU in 1982 and his Master's degree in the same department in 1985.
Between 1985 and 1989, he worked as a researcher and Head of the Mechanics Department at the TÜBİTAK Ballistics Research Institute (now SAGE). From 1989 to 1992, he served as the Director of Research and Development Planning at the TÜBİTAK Presidency.
He left his position at TÜBİTAK due to his military service and started working in the private sector as a company partner.
In 1994, he completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at METU.
He worked in various companies in the private sector as a founding partner, managing partner, board member, and General Manager.
Additionally, in 2019, he started working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Antalya Bilim University.
He is married and has three children.
