Gamze Akyol graduated as the first-ranked student from the Department of Architecture at Bilkent University in 2016. Between 2016 and 2018, she completed her master’s degree at Politecnico di Milano, where she successfully presented her thesis in the field of Interior Architecture and Restoration. During her time in Milan, she worked part-time as an architect in various offices and contributed to a range of projects. After working full-time at an architectural office in Ankara in 2018, she established her own practice and continues to work on projects of various scales. As of 2020, she has been pursuing her PhD in the Department of Architecture at Süleyman Demirel University. From 2022 to 2024, she taught theoretical and practical courses part-time at Süleyman Demirel University. In June 2024, she was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where she contributed academically to ongoing projects and participated in course instruction. As of the fall semester of 2024, she has begun teaching as a part-time instructor in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Antalya Bilim University.
