Ideannovaship - Innovate and Ideate for Social Entrepreneurship is an Erasmus+ Project funded by the European Union. Antalya Bilim University is a partner of the project since March, 2016. There are six partner institutions from six different countries for the project. The main aim of the project is to support youth regarding social entrepreneurship. In that sense, the project aims to train trainers and develop a specific training program for social entrepreneurs and ultimately, guide and support young people for their social ventures.

Meeting in Valencia, SPAIN

In December 2016, participants from six partner institutions had a meeting in Valencia at the I-BOX facilities. The main aim of the meeting in Valencia is to train trainers for social entrepreneurship. In total, 11 youth trainers were trained by 6 teachers. After this event, each partner institution held an “Info Day” in their home countries.

Info Day at Antalya Bilim University

In March, 2017, partners and trainers from Antalya Bilim University held an Info Day at Antalya Bilim University conference hall. The aim of the Info Day was to introduce the Ideannovaship Project to participants and promote social entrepreneurship. There were more than 50 participants for the Info Day. The rector of Antalya Bilim University Prof. Dr. İsmail Yüksek made the opening speech and during Info Day, speakers from our University and KOSGEB (small and medium enterprises development organization) made their presentations. At the end, young students played the “Spaghetti Tower” game and received their certificates.

Meeting in Volos, GREECE 

From the 19th to the 23rd of June 2017, the IDEANNOVASHIP project moved to Volos (Greece) for the second training that was attended by about 20 young aspiring social entrepreneurs who met for 5 days to test the IDEANNOVASHIP methodology and think about new ideas to create social enterprises.
The project IDEANNOVASHIP is funded by the Erasmus+ programme KA2 Strategic Partnerships for Youth. The project involves six partners from six different countries: the Centre for Creative Development Danilo Dolci for Italy, the National Association of Municipal Clerks in Bulgaria (coordinator) from Bulgaria, GEA College – Fakulteta za podjetnistvo (Slovenia), IBOX CREATE (Spain), Antalya International University (Turkey) and University of Thessaly (Greece).
During training in Greece, the partners also met to check the project progress and the educational materials that have so far been developed by the consortium. During the training in Volos, the practical guide for the organisation of camps to train social entrepreneurs was used, a guide aimed at young people who want to stimulate other young people to take the road to social entrepreneurship. In Greece, various ideas of social enterprise emerged, thanks to the cooperation of the different groups of young people who elaborated a Business Model Canvas by developing some of the ideas presented by colleagues from other countries. A final presentation with the 4 best ideas concluded the 5-day creative process that registered the interest and participation of the young participants.

The project is aiming at:
•    developing a training programme specific for youth based on skills for social entrepreneurship
•    training trainers so that the training programme is developed in different institutions also outside the partnership
•    piloting the Ideate and Innovate Camps in different countries so to evaluate the differences among the participant countries
•    overcoming fears and motivate young people lead their working life
•    developing a sustainable network of universities, companies, NGOs and associations working for youth


Closing Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria

In January 2018, the partners from six countries had the last meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria for the closing conference. More than 30 students participated the event and speakers from partner countries as well as a guest speaker as a social entrepreneur made their presentations. At the end of the Closing Conference, participants received their certificates.
