Dear Students,
Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering!
We are delighted to have you join us on this journey and are proud to accompany you throughout your academic and personal development. Our primary goal is to prepare you not only with solid technical knowledge but also with strong ethical values, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.
Our department offers a four-year (eight-semester) undergraduate program conducted entirely in English. We also welcome students from other institutions through transfer opportunities. To provide our students with a strong foundation in engineering, we offer education and research activities in key fields such as Mechanics, Energy, Thermodynamics, Design and Manufacturing, and Theory and Dynamics of Machinery. Our dynamic academic staff, consisting of full-time faculty members and research assistants with international experience, closely supports and guides students throughout their educational journey.
In addition to providing a strong engineering background, we also offer our students the opportunity to gain international experience. Through the Erasmus+ program, our students have the chance to study for one or two semesters at distinguished universities abroad. This program enhances their exposure to different cultures, improves their language skills, and broadens their global engineering perspective.
Our department is committed not only to providing high-quality education but also to advancing science through academic research at both national and international levels. Our mission is to train innovative, entrepreneurial, and responsible engineers with strong research capabilities, who can take active roles in diverse fields such as design, control, robotics, manufacturing, energy, and defense industries.
Mechanical Engineering covers a wide range of applications, from micro-motors to nanomaterials, from 5-axis CNC machines to automation systems. It plays a vital role in many sectors including space, medicine, agriculture, textiles, computing, and manufacturing. Our graduates are well-equipped to apply the core principles of engineering and cutting-edge technologies across these diverse areas to develop effective solutions.
As a department dedicated to educating the engineers of the future, we are honored to welcome you to our academic community. I wish you all a successful and fulfilling academic life.
