Hosted by the School of Tourism at Antalya Bilim University, the TOURISTECH Demo Day was held on March 12, 2026, at the Antalya Bilim University Conference Hall. As part of the Tourism Technologies Incubation Program, the event brought together the innovative ideas, entrepreneurial projects, and value-adding solutions developed by our students and entrepreneurs in the field of tourism technologies with investors, academics, and industry representatives. The startups that made it to the finals presented their projects under the evaluation of a jury, with the aim of fostering new collaborations in the field of tourism technologies.
In his opening remarks, Acting Dean of the School of Tourism Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yazıcı emphasized that tourism is not limited to accommodation and transportation activities; rather, education, systems, artificial intelligence, data analytics, sustainability, lean production, and digital experiences are reshaping the sector at the intersection of tourism, technology, and innovation. Yazıcı stated that, as Antalya Bilim University, they prioritize the development of tourism technology startups in Antalya, the capital of tourism, and noted that the second phase of the Tourism Technologies Incubation Program, carried out with the support of the Mediterranean Development Agency, has been successfully completed.
The TOURISTECH Demo Day was more than just an event featuring startup presentations; it served as a significant gathering that highlighted the importance of digital transformation in tourism, artificial intelligence applications, and data-driven management approaches for the sector, strengthened university-industry collaboration, and laid the groundwork for the development of innovative ideas.
