Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to enable students to classify dental instruments, devices and materials according to risk; explain the processing steps from chairside use to sterile storage; manage sterilization units and procedures; evaluate sterilization methods and biological, chemical and physical controls; and safely perform maintenance, cleaning, disinfection and sterilization procedures of dental instruments and materials in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
