Important Exam Rules

To ensure that examinations are conducted fairly, securely and in an orderly manner, all students are kindly requested to comply with the rules below. These rules apply to all midterm, final, make-up and excuse examinations.

1. Punctual Seating Arrangement

Please arrive in the exam hall at least 15 minutes before the exam and, following the invigilator's guidance, sit in an alternating and orderly fashion. This ensures your exam begins without any issues.

2. Entry–Exit Rules

  • No extra time is given to students arriving within the first 15 minutes after the exam has started.
  • Students arriving after 15 minutes will not be permitted to sit the exam.
  • Do not leave the room during the first 15 minutes or the last 5 minutes of the exam.

3. ID and Entry Documents

Before the exam begins, place your student ID (or another valid form of identification) on your desk. Students unable to present valid ID may be denied entry to the exam.

4. Attendance and Signature

It is mandatory to sign next to your name on the invigilator's attendance list using a pen. Omitting your signature may result in your exam being invalidated.

5. Answer Sheet

Ensure that you write your full name and student number completely and correctly. If you are using an optical answer form, it is your responsibility to fill in all fields carefully.

6. Electronic Devices

Keep cell phones, smartwatches, smart glasses and any similar devices with communication, imaging or recording capabilities switched off and off your desk. Invigilators may collect these devices for safekeeping during the exam. Ordinary prescription glasses are not covered by this rule.

7. Responsibility and Environment Check

You are responsible for any items on or under your desk, as well as any writing on the walls. Check your surroundings before the exam, remove any unauthorized notes or markings, and inform the invigilator if you find any.

8. Bringing and Purchasing Materials

Please bring all necessary materials (pens, erasers, permitted calculators, etc.) with you. Material exchanges are not allowed during the exam.

9. Exam Discipline

Avoid talking, cheating, receiving assistance, or eating and drinking during the exam. Upholding academic integrity protects your rights and those of your fellow students.
