Professor Emine Şen Tunç started her undergraduate education at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry in 1993 and graduated in 1998. She then started her PhD education at Ankara University, Institute of Health Sciences in 2000 and earned the title of Doctor of Science in “Pedodontics” in 2005.
Professor Şen Tunç worked as a research assistant at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry between 1998 and 2000 and at Ankara University, Faculty of Dentistry between 2000-2005. After completing her PhD, she worked for a long time at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry in the positions of assistant professor, associate professor and professor between 2005 and 2023. She took part in numerous committees including the publication committee, education committee and quality and accreditation committee. She acted as a member of The Ethical Committee of Clinical Research and the vice dean. Having retired in 2023, Professor Şen Tunç still acts as a teaching member and vice rector at Antalya Bilim University. She has numerous articles published in international journals and a significant number of national and international papers. She is married and the mother of one child.
Professor Şen Tunç’s studies focus on dental materials, endodontic treatment of primary and secondary teeth, dental traumas, tooth eruption and anomalies.
