B. Toygar Halistoprak received his M.A. degree in 2011 and his Ph.d. degree in 2015 from Bilkent University, Department of International Relations. While his M.A. thesis focuses on the social construction of civil-military relations in Turkey, his doctoral dissertation investigated the peacebuilding intervention practices in Liberia and Sierra Leone from the World Society perspective of the English School of International Relations. Throughout his doctoral studies, he spent one semester in Stellenbosch University, South Africa for his research. Apart from his research on peace and security, he also conducts research in the field of Foreign Policy Analysis. Dr. Halistoprak teaches courses such as “Peace, War and Security”, “African Politics” and “Foreign Policy Analysis” at ABU POLS Department. His current research focuses on knowledge production processes and theory-practice relationship in the Peace Studies. Dr. Halistoprak is awarded a research grant from TÜBİTAK and will spend one year in Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland as a postdoctoral researcher.
