İhsan Ercan Sadi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Antalya Bilim University, Antalya, Turkey. He completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. He was awarded the prestigious McCracken Fellowship to pursue graduate studies at New York University (NYU), where he earned an M.A. and an M.Phil. in Sociology before completing his Ph.D. with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the leading institution for advancing scientific research in the United States. His doctoral dissertation, titled "Political Stability in the Age of Global Capitalism: Finance, Debt, and the Transformation of the State in Turkey, 1980–2019," examines the destabilizing dynamics of the state-finance nexus in contemporary Turkish politics, focusing on issues such as regulation, corruption, large-scale privatization, debt, reform processes, and state transformation. His research interests include political sociology, international political economy, the modern political, economic, and social history of Turkey, social theory, and historical-comparative methods.
