Oğuzhan Herdi was born in Malatya in 1989 and completed his education in Ankara. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the same university. In 2021, he was appointed as a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Antalya Bilim University. In the Clinical Psychology master’s program, he teaches courses on psychodynamic psychotherapies, psychopathology, and psychopharmacology to therapist candidates. In 2020, he began training at the Existential Academy Istanbul and continues to be closely involved in existential therapy both as an instructor and as a student. Herdi has more than 20 articles published in national and international journals. His research interests include existential therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, insight, psychosis-like experiences, defense mechanisms, misophonia, and object relations. He is also closely interested in music and plays several musical instruments.
