He studied on the field of animal ecology and genetics during his MSc. education. During his PhD, he worked in a project supported by Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK-1010 EVRENA) on behavioural ecology of birds. In this Project, he studied on sexual and social selection, and he used techniques such as molecular gender determination, microsatellite markers and parental detection, and experimental behaviour techniques and worked with the researchers from Padova University and Vienna Veterinary University. During his PhD, he visited Vienna Veterinary University, Konrad Lorenz Ethology Institute. Besides, he worked several projects on ornithological monitoring bird biodiversity, and, nature conservation, supported by Ministry of Agriculture and Forest Nature Conservation and National Parks Department. He worked in a project supported by TUBITAK as post-doctoral researcher at Akdeniz University Department of Biology. He used genetic (Mt-DNA sequences and mikrosatallit markers) and phenetic (acoustic, feather reflectance, morphometry) techniques to reveal taxonomy, phylogeny, phylogeography and landscape-genetics of Alectoris partridges of Turkiye. His research areas are as follows; behavioural ecology, ethology, ornithology, molecular ecology and, population genetics. He has published 6 science citation indexed and 3 other indexed papers, 1 book chapter, 31 international proceedings and, 16 national proceedings. Also, he was on the organisation committee of 2 international symposiums and 1 national workshop.
