Aslıhan Dursun-Cengizci received her bachelor's degree in hospitality management from Akdeniz University in 2008 and her master's degree in tourism and hotel management from the same institution in 2015. She participated in the "Management du Tourisme et de l'Hôtellerie" program at Université de Perpignan Via Domitia as an exchange student for the 2006–2007 academic year.
Her internships were completed in several hotel departments, including housekeeping, front desk, entertainment, and sales and marketing. She worked as a flight attendant, quality specialist, tourism coordinator assistant, and sales and marketing assistant after the graduation. She was involved in organizational development and CRM projects of a chain- hotel and worked as a Quality Manager and CRM Manager.
She received her Ph.D. in Tourism Management from Akdeniz University in 2020 with her thesis titled "Customer Churn Prediction in Hotels." She received funding from TUBITAK 2219 to carry out her postdoctoral research titled The Role of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Hospitality and Tourism at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership, University of Houston. Her current research topics are tourism marketing, big data analytics, AI, and machine learning.
