Caner ÜNAL

Caner Ünal graduated from Anadolu University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2010. Also, he graduated from Adnan Menderes University with a Bachelor's degree in Travel Management and Tourism Guiding in 2011 and master's degree in Tourism and Hotel Management from Akdeniz University in 2015. He received his Ph.D. in Tourism and Hotel Management from Akdeniz University in 2020 with his thesis titled “Tourists' perceptions of guide, group member interactions and group cohesion: A case of organised tours”

He worked for various travel agencies as a professional tourist guide along with his internship works as guest relations agent and a daily tour purchasing. He has been leading various thematic tours especially in Antalya and all over Türkiye since 2011. He has been doing this job, still with great enthusiasm, for more than 10 years now. He has several international and national conference papers and refereed articles about tourism marketing, destination management, tourist guiding, and crisis management at tourism journals. His current research interests are in tour guiding, destination management, destination marketing and alternative tourism types.
