İsmet TÜMTÜRK was born in Fethiye in 1996. He completed his primary and high school education at Fethiye Atatürk Primary and Secondary School, Fethiye Gazi Secondary School and Fethiye Ömer Özyer Anatolian Teacher High School. In 2018, he graduated from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department with a degree.
He continued his career as a physiotherapist at Diyarbakır 8th Main Jet Base TSK Primary Family Health Center and then at Private Zeynep Ceylan Special Education and Rehabilitation Center. In 2022, he graduated from Ege University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation master's program by completing his thesis titled “The Effect of Telerehabilitation-Based Exercise and Training Combination on Pain, Function, Balance, Proprioception and Quality of Life in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis” and received the title of Master of Science.
Following his master's degree, he started his education in the doctorate program of Süleyman Demirel University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2022. As of August 2024, he started working as a research assistant at Antalya Bilim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. İsmet TÜMTÜRK's professional specialty is Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and he continues his scientific researches in this field.
