Merve Ünal was born in 1993 in Ankara. She completed her primary and secondary education at Hürriyet Primary School and Çağrıbey Anatolian High School. In 2017, she graduated from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Başkent University, majoring for bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. In 2018, she completed her studies in the Health Institutions Management program at Anadolu University’s Open Education Faculty.
She began her career as a physiotherapist at the Private Tandoğan Magnet Medical Center, the Private Fizyomed Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center, and the Private Lokman Hekim Hospital in Ankara. In 2021, she started her master's degree in the Neurology Physiotherapy Program at Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute, completing her thesis on “Investigation the Verticality Perception and Its Relationship Between Mental Rotation in Multiple Sclerosis Patients” and earned the title of science specialist.
Following her master's degree, she began her doctoral studies in the Neurology Physiotherapy Program at Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute in 2024. As of August 2024, she embarked on her academic career as a research assistant at Antalya Bilim University. Ünal's professional focus is on Neurological Rehabilitation, and she continues to work in this field.
