Assistant Professor Setenay Uçar completed a bachelor's degree at Istanbul Arel University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Architecture in 2015 and completed a double major at the Department of Interior Architecture in 2016. At the same university, she studied photovoltaic panel applications on roofs and facades in the Architecture department. She studied energy-efficient building designs with mechanical systems on the building and completed her master's degree in 2018. In 2023, she completed PhD in architectural design with artificial intelligence and energy-saving building design with the neural fuzzy logic method in the Akdeniz University Architecture programme.
Since 2018, she has a lecturer at Antalya Bilim University and held administrative positions such as the Head of the Construction Technology Programme Department and commission chairmanships/memberships between 2022-2023. In 2023, she worked for two months in Ruhr Universitaet Bochum in Germany on sustainability in building and education at universities together with the Sustainability Office administrative staff and university students. Since 2023, she has been continuing his administrative duties as Deputy Director of the Vocational School and member of the board of directors of the School of Civil Aviation, ISO 9001: Quality Management System Internal Auditor.
She has papers and articles on energy-efficient building design, sustainable approaches in buildings and interiors, the use of photovoltaic panels in buildings, building design with artificial intelligence and the use of neural fuzzy logic in architecture. She has a patent study titled ‘Pre-Application Sustainable Building System’ published in 2025.
