Born in 1981, Prof. Dr. Polat Darçın completed his undergraduate education at Yıldız Technical University Department of Architecture in 2004, his Master's degree in 2008 with his thesis on "Natural Ventilation Principles in the Elimination of Indoor Air Pollution", and his PhD in 2014 with his research titled "An Approach to the Evaluation of Indoor Air Pollution". He worked as an architect in several offices between 2003 – 2008, appointed as a research assistant in Yıldız Technical University Department of Architecture in 2008 and deputed as associate professor in 2018 in the same institution. In 2024, he started to serves as the Vice Dean of Antalya Bilim University, at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at Antalya Bilim University. In addition to this, he has joined the staff of the Department of Architecture. Prof. Dr. Polat Darçın continues his research on building elements and construction, building biology, regenerative design and architectural education, and is also studying rebab and ney instruments within Classical Turkish Music.
