Professor Dr. Salih Ofluoğlu serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at Antalya Bilim University. He is also a member of the university's Board of Directors. Prior to this, Prof. Ofluoğlu worked as a faculty member in the Department of Informatics at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSÜ) from 2001 to 2023, during which he held various administrative positions.
He graduated from the Department of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). Following his undergraduate studies, he ranked first in the national government-sponsored overseas scholarship exam, earning the opportunity to pursue postgraduate education in Computer-Aided Design. Subsequently, he completed his Master’s degree at Penn State University in the USA and his Doctorate at the University of Edinburgh in the UK.
Prof. Ofluoğlu's research interests include sustainable architecture, building information modeling (BIM), BIM-supported facility management, and architectural design studios. He has authored numerous articles, books, and research projects published both nationally and internationally. He is one of the organizers of the Eurasian BIM Forum, an international event conducted in collaboration with MSGSÜ and ITU. Additionally, he is the editor of the Building Information Modeling Journal, Turkey’s only BIM-focused periodical published by the Department of Informatics at MSGSÜ through Tübitak Dergipark. Prof. Ofluoğlu also serves as a board member of the buildingSMART Turkey national chapter of the international organization.
