Assoc. Dr. Tanju Deveci completed his undergraduate education at Ankara University, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Department of Public Education in 1994. He received a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate from Aberdeen College, Scotland, in 1995. He received his master's degree in Adult Education from Ankara University in 2003. In the same year, he received a second master's degree from the Department of Foreign Language Education at the Middle East Technical University. He received COTE (the Certificate for Overseas Teachers of English) from Cambridge University in 1999 and DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English) in 2002. He received his doctorate in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education from Ankara University in 2011. He received the title of associate professor in the field of Educational Sciences (Lifelong Learning) in 2018, in English in 2019, and in the field of Linguistics in 2022.
He worked as a lecturer at Bilkent University School of Foreign Languages between 1999-2003 and at Sabancı University School of Languages between 2003-2012. Between 2012 and 2019, he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of English at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and as an Associate Professor at the same university between 2019 and 2023. Since 2023, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at Antalya Bilim University School of Foreign Languages.
