At the Antalya Bilim University Career Days, the guest speaker Fettah Tamince, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ABU and Chairman of the Executive Board of Rixos Hotels, stated that “development is only possible through confident and productive individuals who keep up with technology.”

Addressing a large audience at Antalya Bilim University, Fettah Tamince had a candid chat with students. Sharing his experience with them, he stated that “I have paid particular attention to one thing throughout my life. I have never been concerned with what will be in 3 months, 3 years or in 30 years-time. I have always been concerned with the present. I have always thought about how effectively I have used my day and whether I have performed my duties to the best of my abilities.”

The starting point is yourself

Fettah Tamince emphasized that students have a huge responsibility in the development of our country. He further stated that “You, as the future and young people of Turkey, must start the development within yourself. That is the only way you will see our country in a better place and amongst the top 10 economies of the world. I believe that individuals are the most significant building blocks of a society. When people think that they are perfect and stop questioning themselves, they’ll find themselves living in a third world country. Individuals living in these countries always seek success in others and they do not take lessons from failures. Countries which produce, work hard and seek solutions within themselves are the successful ones.” Finally, Tamince advised students to follow their dreams. He kindly continued to chat with them after the event.
