Antalya Bilim University Bids Farewell to Dr. İsmail Bülent SÜZER
Dr. İsmail Bülent SÜZER, Chief Physician of the Oral and Dental Health Practice and Research Center and Chief Advisor to the Rector at Antalya Bilim University, was laid to rest following a memorial ceremony held in his honor after his passing.
The ceremony, held on the university campus, was attended by Board of Trustees Member Tevfik GÜNAL, Rector Prof. Dr. Semih EKERCİN, the late Dr. SÜZER’s family, relatives, friends, academic and administrative staff, and colleagues.
During the ceremony, Dr. SÜZER’s wife Çiğdem SÜZER, his son Cengiz Ozan SÜZER, close friends, and colleagues shared their memories and reflections, speaking about his dedication to his profession, his remarkable humanity, and the impact he had on their lives.
In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Semih EKERCİN stated that Dr. İsmail Bülent SÜZER was not only an invaluable figure for the university, but also personally very important to him. Prof. Dr. EKERCİN emphasized that, as Chief Advisor to the Rector, Dr. SÜZER made significant contributions to the university, particularly playing a major role in the development of the Antalya Bilim University Oral and Dental Health Practice and Research Center.
Prof. Dr. EKERCİN included the following remarks in his speech:
“Today, we are experiencing the deep sorrow of bidding farewell to a highly valued member of our university, our esteemed professor Dr. İsmail Bülent SÜZER. Professor Bülent left a profound mark on all of us through his knowledge, experience, diligence, and humane character. As my Chief Advisor to the Rector, he made significant contributions to our university. In particular, he devoted tremendous effort, dedication, and commitment to the development of our Oral and Dental Health Practice and Research Center. We will always remember him not only as a colleague, but also as a guide, a man of heart, and a cherished friend. May he rest in eternal peace, and I extend my condolences to his family, loved ones, and the entire Antalya Bilim University community.”
Following the ceremony on campus, funeral prayers for Dr. İsmail Bülent SÜZER were held at Muratpaşa Mosque. Antalya Governor Hulusi ŞAHİN also attended the funeral prayer ceremony. After the prayers, the late Dr. SÜZER was laid to rest at Kurşunlu Cemetery.
As Antalya Bilim University, we extend our deepest condolences to Dr. İsmail Bülent SÜZER’s family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire Antalya Bilim University community, and pray that he may rest in eternal peace.
