Antalya Bilim University Successfully Hosted the 9th International Congress on Health Sciences and Life

The 9th International Congress on Health Sciences and Life, hosted by Antalya Bilim University, was successfully held between April 15 and 18, 2026, with high attendance and a comprehensive scientific program. Bringing together diverse disciplines within the health sciences, the congress provided a multidimensional academic platform through in-person, online, and hybrid sessions.

Opening Ceremony and Honors

The opening ceremony featured keynote speeches by Congress Chair Prof. Dr. Mümin Polat and Antalya Bilim University Rector Prof. Dr. Semih Ekercin. During the ceremony, the 2026 Social Contribution Award was presented to artist Turgay Başyayla by Rector Ekercin.

Key Panels and Discussions

Following the opening ceremony, the panel titled “The Power of Music: Touching the Human Spirit and Health” explored the profound impact of art and music on well-being. On the first day, the panel “The Future of Dentistry: Digitalization, Human-Centricity, and Academic Responsibility” examined evolving dental practices from academic, ethical, and professional perspectives.

Throughout the congress, sessions addressed a wide range of cutting-edge topics, including:

- advanced technology in nursing,
- artificial intelligence and clinical decision support systems,
- remote monitoring and telemedicine,
- digital literacy and interdisciplinary health education models,
- modern dental practices.

International collaboration was one of the highlights of the congress, with the panel “Shaping IPECP in Türkiye Through the UK Experience” facilitating global knowledge exchange. In addition, the “Meeting with Masters” sessions provided practical insights into impression techniques for implant-supported fixed prostheses and strategies for successful TÜBİTAK project applications.

Holistic Approaches and Academic Excellence

On the third day, the “One Health” panel emphasized holistic and interdisciplinary approaches to global health, while the panel “The Keys to Scientific Publishing in Health Sciences” provided valuable guidance on the academic publishing process. The final day concluded with oral presentation sessions, during which researchers presented a variety of innovative projects.

A Global Scientific Platform

Supported by TÜBİTAK for the sixth consecutive time, this prestigious organization reached a global audience through live broadcasts of its opening sessions, panels, and courses. The congress featured:

- 850 papers submitted from 12 different countries,
- more than 1,000 participants, including 20 invited keynote speakers.
