Aşkın Mızrabı Turkish Music Concert Resonates at Antalya Bilim University

The “Aşkın Mızrabı” (Plectrum of Love) Turkish Music Concert, held at the Antalya Bilim University Conference Hall, attracted great interest with the participation of students, academic and administrative staff, as well as students from the Turkish Music Department of Akdeniz University State Conservatory. Featuring distinguished works of Turkish music, the concert offered the audience unforgettable emotional and artistic moments.

Within the scope of the program, commemorative plaques prepared in memory of the evening were presented to the artists by businessman Hilmi Beken. The audience expressed their appreciation for the artists’ outstanding performances and their contributions to Turkish music with prolonged applause.

A meaningful and special moment marked the finale of the concert. The artists invited the Rector of Antalya Bilim University, Prof. Dr. Semih Ekercin, to the stage. Rector Ekercin accompanied the artists on the tanbur during the performance of “Garip,” a composition by Göksel Baktagir dedicated to the great folk poet Neşet Ertaş. This performance was met with great enthusiasm and received strong applause from the audience.

Filled with students, academics, administrative staff, and conservatory students, the hall echoed with a long standing ovation. The event left a lasting impression as a powerful reflection of Antalya Bilim University’s commitment to art, culture, and particularly Turkish music.
