International Training Program was held at Antalya Bilim University within the scope of Erasmus KA1-VET.

Antalya Bilim University hosted the international training program within the scope of the Erasmus Plus KA1 VET Project organized between 22-24 May 2024 in partnership with GIP Formation Continue Et Insertion Professionnelle De L'Academie De Creteil from France.

The project, coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Melike Çetin, Lecture at the Department of Economics, was supported by Assist. Prof. Dr. Hamid Farrokh Ghatte, Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Civil Engineering. On the first day of the program, Dr. Hamid Farrokh Ghatte and Aslan Soyer made presentations on “Natural Disasters and Sustainable Development”, “Seismic Assessment of Buildings”, “Forest Fire” and “Post-Fire Building Performance Assessment”. In the afternoon sessions, Prof. Dr. Salih Ofluoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture and Assist. Prof. Dr. Hülya Aybek, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Esin Kuleli, Assist. Prof. Dr. Esin Bölükbaş Dayı and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shirin Izadpanah, Head of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design contributed to the participants with their presentations. At the end of the day, the participants had the opportunity to see the facilities of our university by taking a campus tour and came together for a official dinner.

On the second day of the program, the participants carry out a technical visit to Konyaaltı region and examined the “cool island” examples in Antalya. During this technical visit, the participants were given detailed information about the sustainable projects and environmental works carried out in the region.

On the third and last day, the participants carry out a technical visit to the ancient city of Phaselis in Kemer district and examined the region from an architectural and archaeological perspective. The training program ended with an evaluation meeting and closing speeches.

This training program made significant contributions to the participants with both academic and technical knowledge. Participants expressed their wishes for the continuation of such international events and increased cooperation. As Antalya Bilim University, we were very pleased to host this important event and we aim to strengthen academic and technical cooperation with similar events in the future.
