Tourism Experiential Learning Programme (TELP)

Antalya Bilim University Tourism Experiential Learning Programme (ABU TELP) is a student mobility project organised by the ABU Tourism Studies Application and Research Center.  Through ABU TELP, students from Turkic Republics, particularly from Kazakhstan, gain experience in studying, working and living in Turkey in the field of tourism.  This project will assure Kazakh TELP students for quick entry into the workforce with the required skills and experience.  That is, according to their performance during the TELP project, Kazakh students will be recruited at our partner Hotels in Kazakhstan once they earn their Tourism degrees.

The TELP students’ profile includes Sophomore (2nd year), Junior (3rd year) or Senior (4th year) students.  No applicant under the age of 18 will be admitted by neither ABU nor its partner hotels.  To be eligible for the TELP application, the applicant’s university shall primarily sign the ABU TELP protocol.

TELP offers a hybrid structure with online theoretical courses with field trips and a 14-week internship for a total of 30 ECTS.  The internship will be completed in one of ABU’s partner hotels. Once the theoretical courses are completed, the students will be working on a six-day a week and one day-holiday schedule.

ABU will provide students with an academic transcript of records/ a certificate on completion of TELP.

The following schedule is a guideline only, and TELP students may take other courses provided by ABU.  The complete list of the 2022 summer courses will be announced on the ABU website.
