Economics

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the transition from feudalism to capitalism, the Industrial Revolution, the major economic transformations of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and the historical development of the world economy. The course aims to help students analyze the industrialization experiences of different countries, the emergence of economic institutions, the relationship between state and market, and the development dynamics of leading and follower economies within a historical context. It also seeks to develop students’ ability to evaluate the relationship between economic events and institutional change from a comparative perspective.
