Course Objectives

Bu dersin amacı, ekonomi bölümü öğrencilerinin akademik İngilizce yeterliliklerini geliştirmek ve alanlarına özgü terminoloji, akademik okuma, dinleme, yazma ve konuşma becerilerini bütünleşik bir yaklaşımla kazandırmaktır. Ders kapsamında öğrencilerin ekonomi alanındaki akademik metinleri anlayabilmeleri, eleştirel olarak analiz edebilmeleri, yapılandırılmış yazılı ve sözlü çıktılar üretebilmeleri ve akademik tartışmalara etkin katılım sağlayabilmeleri hedeflenmektedir.

Course Books / Materials / Recommended Resources

The main coursebook is English for Economics in Higher Education Studies by McCormick (2012). Additional materials are drawn from English for Business Studies, English for the Financial Sector, and the Market Leader series. Furthermore, lecture notes, videos, academic texts, and supplementary materials shared via the LMS constitute essential learning resources for the course.
