Information about Internships - Political Science and International Relations

Starting from their sophomore year, Political Science and International Relations (POLS) students may apply for a volunteering internship either through the Turkish Republic’s Presidency Office Career Gate (https://kariyerkapisi.cbiko.gov.tr/ulusalstajprogrami) or through their individual initiatives at national or international institutions. POLS students’ internships are not mandatory, as they are not part of the POLS curriculum and are not a requirement for graduation from the programme. The internship that the POLS student applies and follows during the semester breaks is therefore not connected directly to the department. The university, however, supports such internships by granting insurance payments when the students get an invitation from the Presidency’s Career Gate or in case students’ internship plans are deemed as suitable for insurance support.
