Mission

The mission of the department is to cultivate architects who possess strong foundational professional knowledge and skills; who are familiar with diverse approaches and methods within the discipline of architecture; and who develop abilities in creative thinking, critical evaluation, communication, and collaboration. The department aims to educate architects who are committed to ethical values, capable of interpreting changing social, environmental, and technological conditions, and aware of their professional responsibilities.

In the educational process, architecture is addressed not only at the scale of the building but also through its relationships with the city and everyday life. Global architectural knowledge is evaluated together with local issues. Sustainability, art, representation, and spatial narration constitute the fundamental components of the department’s educational approach. The department adopts the principle of continuously evaluating and improving its educational processes in line with stakeholder feedback.

The department aims to integrate diverse approaches and methods within the discipline of architecture into the educational process through an ethical, critical, and responsible perspective.

It seeks to establish a respected educational and research environment that collaborates effectively with its stakeholders, is recognized at national and international levels, and remains sensitive to society, the city, and the environment.
