ABU Department of Architecture, Second Year Design Studio Students set a Technical Trip

ABU, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of Architecture, Second year design studio students, visited Fiberli Led Illumination at Organized Industry in Döşemealtı and Yüksel Tohum Gaziler Testing Station in Kepez in 21 February 2019. The trip was accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hülya Aybek, Asst. Prof. Dr. A. Esin Kuleli and Lecturers Ramazan SARI, Funda Alyanak Kaya and Hakan Hacıoğlu together with 60 students and 5 instructors in total. In this respect, a soilless farming implementation established for R&D purposes by Fiberli which was completely illuminated by artificial lighting technology, were introduced to the students beside mentioning further applications in foreign countries. At same day, Gaziler Testing Station of Yüksel Fide, having significant investments in Antalya about soilless farming, was visited to see and take information about soilless and traditional greenhouse farming. In conclusion, the students were able to gain experience and observe about not only R&D studies but also commercial applications in this field. Thus, the students have chance to see and observe real examples in which they may design during design studio project throughout the semester.
