Freshman year is very similar on every engineering department and consists of basic engineering courses. With sophomore year courses that teach mathematical representation of real life systems. On this year there are also core courses that are; probability, statistics and linear algebra. From the junior year the courses get specialized on the areas of industrial engineering. Senior year consists of the senior project along with selective courses on specialization areas of industrial engineering. Industrial engineering, in comparison to the other engineering disciplines consists and depends more heavily on the human elements. It can be also said that industrial engineering is the closest engineering discipline to social sciences.
