The Civil Engineering Department at Antalya Bilim University was established in 2012 in line with the principles of contemporary engineering education and admitted its first students in the 2013–2014 academic year. The Department graduated its first cohort in the 2016–2017 academic year, successfully fulfilling its mission of educating qualified civil engineers.

Since its establishment, our Department has continuously pursued excellence in education through its strong academic staff, research-oriented approach, interdisciplinary working culture, and international collaborations. In addition to providing students with technical knowledge, the Department aims to educate engineers who possess a strong sense of ethical responsibility, critical thinking skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Through the ICE (International Cooperative Education) model, which was implemented starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, students who successfully complete the first six semesters of academic study have the opportunity to undertake full-time practical training during the final two semesters at partner institutions and organizations. This model enables students to gain valuable industry experience prior to graduation while reinforcing their theoretical knowledge through real-world engineering practice.

Our Department provides an internationally oriented educational environment through its expanding Erasmus+ agreements, diverse international student body, modern laboratory infrastructure, research activities, and strong collaborations with industry. Its practice-oriented educational approach and continuously updated curriculum equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to meet the rapidly changing demands of the engineering profession.
