About the Department - Department of Nursing

Nursing is a profession that the society needs a lot in recent years and has employment opportunities in different fields. The language of education is Turkish and the duration of education is 4 years and 8 semesters and students are admitted to the program according to the numerical (SAY) score type. The main objective of the undergraduate nursing program is to provide students with education within the scope of an up-to-date curriculum that includes the basic principles of the nursing profession. In addition to this, it is to train nurses who can determine the needs of healthy or sick individuals and provide quality care services in line with these needs by applying the knowledge they receive throughout their education and training life. Following their graduation, students who graduate from the Department of Nursing will be able to work as clinicians, educators, managers, coordinators, as well as academicians in public and private sector inpatient treatment institutions, rehabilitation centers, health institutions providing outpatient diagnosis and treatment services, elderly care homes, schools, care and education centers established for special groups (children, elderly, disabled, etc.), workplace health units, home care organizations and emergency health services. Graduates of the nursing undergraduate program are given the title of “Nurse”.
