Akra Hotel - Guest Relations - 2017 Graduate
I graduated from Antalya Bilim University Faculty of Tourism, Tourism Hotel Management Undergraduate Programme in 2017. In the same year, I won Akdeniz University International Tourism Management Master's Programme with Thesis and I am currently at the thesis stage. I had the opportunity to do an internship in Spain in 2015 with Erasmus internship mobility. While this experience helped me improve my Spanish, which I chose as a second language in my undergraduate education, it enabled me to observe the sector in a country like Spain and to add international internship experience to my CV. I am currently continuing my career as Barut Hotels Group CRM & Loyalty Supervisor.
ABU was definitely the gateway to the world. While going abroad was a dream, I gained my first working experience in a world brand chain hotel in Dubai. It was an incredible experience. I did my next internship in Croatia with Erasmus+. And we received training as entrepreneurial, solution-oriented future managers in a professional sense. We have been educated at an international level for 5 years and entered the sector and we understand the contribution of these trainings as we live. Thank you for everything.
I can say that the domestic and international opportunities provided by the ABU Tourism Faculty, especially the Erasmus+ programme, the cooperation and internship opportunities with the Rixos group, the high level of English, opened easy doors in my business life, especially in the luxury hotel segment, and made me ready in practical terms. I am currently working in the hotel brand and department I have always wanted to work in. After completing my internships, especially in the field of F&B, at St. Regis Dubai, one of the most luxurious brands of the Marriott group, and at St. Regis Florence Michelin Star within the scope of Erasmus+, I think I have enough experience and knowledge in my current position. At the same time, the theoretical background and sectoral character traits given by the school made my job even easier. The effect of being an ABU graduate, studying English and the internships I did in the reservation and sales departments of Rixos Hotels is undeniable. Hello, I'm Sevde KAPU. I did my summer internships at Rixos Premium Belek and Wom Deluxe sales marketing department. After graduation, I started working in the sales marketing department at the hotel where I did my internship. Afterwards, I started to work in this field by training myself in the field of digital marketing and web design. It has been 4 years since I graduated from Antalya Bilim University Tourism Management Department. We don't realise many things when we enter and leave the lessons. Like everyone else, it is very interesting to miss the periods when we were complaining about graduation and graduation. Immediately after graduation, I started working as a spa receptionist at JW Marriott Ankara, one of the best examples of city hotel management. Since the idea of the Marriott hotel chain is that if the employees are happy, our guests will be happy, there is a staff-first working environment. Some of the best examples of this are the hotel's gifts thought for the staff on their birthdays and employment anniversaries. One of the most important things that my managers noticed while I was working was that my professional English was at a good level. I would like to thank Antalya Bilim University for this training.

Albert Gabitov, one of our first graduates of ABU Tourism Management, has been appointed as Group Sales and Marketing Manager of Fun & Sun Hotels. Albert, who gained his first summer internship experience at Rixos Downtown Food & Beverage department and his second summer internship experience at Rixos Palm Dubai, United Arab Emirates, gained Rixos Downtowm F&B Shadow Manager experience in the spring semester of 2017. After working as Assistant Sales Manager at Titanic Mardan Palace for 2 years after graduation, he started to work in Fun & Sun Hotels group as the manager responsible for the sales and marketing of the group. Melih Sadık Cal
Our 2019 ABU Tourism Management graduate Melih Sadık Cal is working and continuing his education in the USA. Melih, who worked as an assistant student at Antalya Bilim University Faculty of Tourism, interned at Tui Magic Life Jacaranda (Antalya) hotel during the summer semesters, and gained experience as Kaya Palazzo Hotel Shadow Manager in the spring semester of 2019. As soon as he graduated, after working in the sales and operations department at Vole Sport for 2 years and increasing his experience in sports tourism, he joined the Management Trainee Internship programme in the F&B department at Longboat Key Club Resort in Sarasota, Florida. While continuing the MT programme, he started the SDET certificate programme and moved to Austin Texas thanks to the job opportunities in this programme. While completing his education in the SDET certificate programme, Melih is also working as a distribution partner at Amazon. After completing his education and increasing his experience, he aims to work in the field of sports tourism again.
Hasan Gorkem Kurtoglu
Our 2018 entrepreneurial graduate Hasan Görkem Kurtoğlu started to run his own hotel called Kalkan Park Hotel while he was still in the last semester of his ABU Tourism Management undergraduate education. Hasan, who gained experience in Vogue Hotel Kemer Reception department in summer internships during his university years and in Hilton Hotel Rapid City in the USA in both housekeeping and reception departments and as assistant front office manager in Kervansaray basement, runs his own hotel in Kalkan Park Hotel, Kaş. We hope to stay at our graduate's hotel as soon as possible and celebrate his success.

2020 Antalya Bilim University Tourism Management graduate Ovunç Ozen was appointed as Gloria Hotels night auditor after his Front Office experience at Gloria Verde Resort and Gloria Golf Club & Gloria Sports Arena experience. Ovunç, who did his 2nd year summer internship at Titanic Hotels Lara in the F&B department and 3rd year summer internship at Hilton Clearwater Florida USA, gained experience as Rixos Downtown Front Office Shadow Manager in the spring semester of 2020. Our 2020 ABU Tourism Management graduate Enes Sahin has been appointed to the Ticketing department from TUI Russia & CIS Product and Yield department. In the summer of 2017, Delux Sueno Hotel reception, AKKA Antedon Hotel accounting in the summer of 2018, Anex Tour Tour Tour Tour Operations in the summer of 2019, he gained experience as Anex Tour Global Operations Shadow Manager in the spring semester of 2020. Tolgahat Targıt, who graduated from Tourism Management major and International Relations minor programmes in 2020, is working at Akra Hotel Guest Experiences Department. Tolgahan, who gained different work experiences every summer, gained experience as Animator in Charge of Mini and Teen Club (Children's Entertainment Department) at Cesars Temple De Luxe in 2015; as Mini Club Chef at Alva Donna Beach Resort Comfort Side in 2016; as Entertainment Department Team Leader at Side Sun Palace in 2017; as Guest Relations Representative at Robinson Çamyuva in 2018 and as Guest Relations Representative & Social Media Representative at Robinson Çamyuva in 2019. 2021 Tourism Management Major and Business Administration Double Major programme graduate Şeyma Süleymanoğlu started working as an Accounting Officer at Melino Travel & Event. After completing her first summer internship at Rixos Downtown Antalya Human Resources department and her second summer internship at Paloma Hotels Head Office Human Resources department, Şeyma gained experience as a Shadow Manager at Barut Horspitality Management Human Assets directorate in Spring 2021. In the autumn semester of 2018, Seyma went to Berlin, Germany as an Erasmus Student to the Department of Business Administration of HWTK - University of Applied Sciences and gained overseas life and education experience in addition to her work, life and education experiences in Turkey. Sebahat, who will graduate from Tourism Management major and International Relations double major programmes in January 2022, completed her 1st internship at Güral Premier Belek Hotel - Guest Relations Department and 2nd internship at TUI Sensatori Resort Barut Sorgun Hotel - Front Office Department. Sebahat, who worked as an assistant student at the Faculty of Tourism in the autumn and spring semesters of the 2019/20 academic year, gained experience as a Shadow Manager in the booking department of TUI Russia Tour Operator and Incoming Agency in the Spring semester of 2021. On top of the experiences provided by compulsory internships, she is now working as an intern at the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism - Promotion Branch Directorate of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism within the framework of the Turkish Presidency Internship Mobilisation Programme. I have developed myself in many areas by getting the opportunity to intern and work in chain hotels in Dubai and Turkey together with Antalya Bilim University, which creates a universal value with the trainings it provides. ABU Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, which I was entitled to study with a 100% scholarship in 2013, made a great contribution to me in all processes of my business life. During my school life, thanks to the connections provided by my professors, I had the opportunity to do internships at Aska Hotels and Prince Group. In 2017, I did an internship at Kohler Company with the Work and Travel programme. Since May 2018, I have been working as a Contract Specialist at Meeting Point Turkey, one of the largest Incoming Agencies in Turkey.
