Antalya Bilim University Civil Engineering Department on a Trip to the Meteorological Station

In this visit, which was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Danandeh Mehr on 26.11.2024, students were introduced to traditional and modern methods of monitoring, processing and predicting different climatic variables, such as wind, temperature, rainfall, humidity, soil moisture, evaporation, solar radiation, etc. There are more than 2,000 active meteorology stations throughout Turkey. Antalya Meteorology Station is one of the most equipped stations in the country, which is equipped with various measuring devices in accordance with the standards of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). ABU appreciates Antaly Meteorolgy Organization management and technical staff, Prof. Dr. Ali Danandeh Mehr, and Özgün AKDEĞİRMEN for providing this valuable scientific visit for the students.
