Sample Proficiency Test

The Proficiency test consists of 5 main parts:

Grammar and Vocabulary (10 points): Students are required to answer fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice questions that assess their grammar and vocabulary knowledge.

Reading (10 points): Students are required to read 2 reading texts and answer open-ended and multiple-choice questions related to these texts.

Listening (10 points): Students are required to listen to a lecture and a dialogue and answer open-ended and multiple-choice questions related to these audio recordings.

Writing (20 points): Students are required to write a composition consisting of 350-500 words.

Speaking (20 points):  Students are required to answer 2 opinion questions and speak for 2 minutes for each question.

The Proficiency Exam consists of 70 points, but the final score is calculated out of 100 points. Students who score 70 and above become eligible to start their courses in the faculty they are enrolled in.
