Visits to Directorate of Migration Management and the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 28 November 2019, the Department of Political Science and International Relations visited the Directorate of Migration Management and the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Antalya.

Our students first visited the Migration Directorate as part of “Politics of Migration” Course. We would like to thank Sociologist Ahmet ALGÜL, the Head of the Working Group on Adaptation and Communication, for his informative speech on the operational aspects. After this general presentation, the students had the opportunity to raise their questions in the Q&A part.

We also visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Antalya and were hosted by Ambassador Avni AKYOL. Students had the chance to get firsthand information on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in general and the domestic representatives of the Ministry in particular. Detailed discussions were held on the evolving nature of diplomacy in the contemporary world.
