Nursing is a profession that has been increasingly needed by the society and provide employment opportunities in various fields. In the program, the medium of instruction is Turkish, and the education duration is 4 years. Students are admitted based on the score type of SAY (Science and Mathematics). The main objective of the Undergraduate Program of Nursing is to provide education within the framework of an up-to-date curriculum incorporating the basic principles of the nursing profession. It also aims to train health care professionals who can put theoretical and practical knowledge acquired throughout the education period into practice, determine the needs of both healthy individuals and patients and provide health care within the light of these needs. Students who graduate from the Department of Nursing can work as academicians at universities in addition to finding employment as clinicians, instructors, managers or coordinators in public and private hospitals, rehabilitation centers, health institutions that provide outpatient diagnosis and treatment, geriatric care centers, schools, health care and education centers intended for special groups (children, elderly, disabled etc.), workplace health units, institutions that provide home care services and emergency health services. Students who graduate from the Undergraduate Program of Nursing earn the title of, “Nurse.”
