April 18 International Day for Monuments and Sites is celebrated every year with events in accordance with the theme determined by ICOMOS. This year’s theme ‘Heritage for Generations’ is celebrated with events in Antalya Museum which is organized by Antalya Bilim University School of Fine Arts and Architecture with the cooperation of the Harvard Kids Education Center and Antalya Museum.

The event which aims to improve the cultural heritage awareness was made in the coordination with ICOMOS Turkey National Committee Member Asst. Prof. Dr. A. Esin Kuleli who is an academician in School of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of Architecture. Asst. Prof. Dr. Hülya Aybek, Res. Asst. Esin Bölükbaş Dayı, Res. Asst. Nilay Başar, Res. Asst. Selin Akdeğirmen, Department of Architecture students Ayşe Nur Güngördü, Ayşe Tuğçen Türkmen, Deniz Özölmez, Eda Pelin Güllü, Hasibe Nur Duvar, Müge Develier, Nurdeniz Ceylan, Rabia Hatipoğlu, Sümeyra Çaksen ve Taha Şimşek and Department of Political Science and International Relations student Mensan Charles Le Bon Kueviakoe contributed the event.
The event started with the conference of Asst. Prof Dr. A. Esin Kuleli and continued with the visit of the museum in the company of the Museum officer archaeologist Fatmanur Konukman. After the participation of Harvard Kids Education Center students, our students told their story which was written by themselves about Antalya's important historical buildings, with the visual presentation to the children. The activities continued with paintings made by children which were about the stories and completed with singing the songs written and composed by our students within a mini concert in the amphitheater in the museum garden.
