Our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department hosted the Gastro-Vegan event on January 30, 2026, as part of the Cultural Diplomacy project numbered KA153-YOU-86F81BF0. Under the leadership of Mustafa Koz from the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, young people from Italy, Slovenia, Romania, and Spain who visited our university made Turunçlu Tartolet. The Turunçlu Tartolet product was developed as part of the “Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Diabetic Tartolet Enriched with Flavors Unique to Antalya” project, supported by TÜBİTAK under the 2209-A program and led by Toygar Çapık, a student in the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department. Following the tartolet preparation and tasting, Assistant Professor Evla Mutlu gave a presentation on Veganism and Plant-Based Nutrition.
We would like to thank our student Toygar Çapık, our Nutrition and Dietetics graduate Berfin Gezen, who is also a researcher in the same TÜBİTAK project, and the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports team, led by Mustafa Koz, for this enjoyable event.
