On 07 May 2018 students from our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and the Gastronomy Club visited Anamas Tohum within the scope of the Agricultural Production course. Anamas Tohum is a research company that operates in the production, sale and export of hybrid plant seeds (tomato, pepper, cucumber, aubergine). At Anamas we walked through the rows of tomato, cucumber and pepper plants located in different greenhouses with two agricultural engineers accompanying us and explaining about cultivation and the growing conditions for these plants as well as hybrid seeds and the company's research in the seed-improvement area. They also demonstrated to us how to crossbreed tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers and how the seeding machine works.
