The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design aims to develop and utilize functional, aesthetic, sustainable and authentic designs that response to the needs of users by combining a human-oriented approach and by taking advantage of advanced technology. By transcending the boundaries of interiors in terms of creating living spaces, the department ensures that the design of spatial elements is combined with indoor and outdoor design. Another area in which the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design focuses on is the ability to work with architects and other experts in environmental planning.
 

The medium of instruction in the four-year undergraduate program at ABU is English. The department provides education to produce versatile and skilled designers on an international level.
