On October 22, 2024, within the framework of the IAED 3505 IAED Detail Studio course conducted by Lecturer Kadir Emre BAKIR and Lecturer Canan BEDUR, two presentations were held in collaboration with the GEBERIT company, focusing on wet area applications. These presentations were delivered by Fikret GENÇGEL (Education Director), Mr. Osman ATEŞ (Regional Sales Manager), Kudret SEVGİ (Regional Sales Manager), and Osman GÜNGÖR (Marla Yapı). The sessions provided an opportunity to share important developments and applications in the interior architecture field with students.
The first presentation lasted approximately 1.5 hours in a classroom setting and provided in-depth information about built-in cisterns. The speakers discussed the construction processes of built-in cisterns, the importance of sound insulation systems for noise prevention, and various technical details regarding the operation of these systems. During this presentation, students learned about the professional standards associated with the installation and maintenance of cisterns, enhancing their sector-specific knowledge.
The second presentation took place in the wet area located within the university building. Information was provided regarding the systematic structure of this wet area, installation processes, and relevant regulations, allowing students to observe practical applications in the field. By attending this presentation in the corridor, students had the opportunity to see the reflections of real-life applications and innovations in the industry.
These presentations addressed significant points related to work practices and professionalism, particularly emphasizing the critical aspects to consider in the design of plumbing systems in light of regulations and guidelines.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Fikret GENÇGEL (Education Director), Mr. Osman ATEŞ (Regional Sales Manager), Mr. Kudret SEVGİ (Regional Sales Manager), and Mr. Osman GÜNGÖR (Marla Yapı) for their valuable contributions and participation in these events.
