TDA | Design Talk with Tuba Hızlı | 05 March 2024
On March 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., we interviewed Landscape Architect Tuba Hızlı, co-founder of TDA Architects, titled "The Future Trend of Healing Architecture." This interview was highly informative regarding the proper use of resources in our evolving world. It discussed innovations in interior design and sustainable approaches. Throughout the interview, Tuba Hızlı emphasized the impact of architectural design on human health and well-being. Furthermore, she highlighted that future interior design trends require functional and responsive designs focused not only on aesthetics but also on enhancing people's quality of life. She noted that elements such as natural light, green areas, and sustainable materials increase the healing potential of interior spaces, buildings, and cities. Hızlı's proposed approach reinforced the idea that interior spaces should also support people's physical and mental health.
The comprehensive perspective on interior design aimed to increase its positive impact on society by addressing all aspects of interior space, from material selection to energy usage and from spatial arrangement to lighting. Through her narrative, Tuba Hızlı demonstrated the importance of TDA Architects' human-centered approach, which goes beyond aesthetics and functionality. This event provided our students with a hopeful glimpse into the future of the interior design world, teaching them about sustainability and human-centered design in all its facets, thus instilling a promising outlook for preserving our environment and resources in the future.
