ABU’s Young Designers Drew Great Attention at IZFURNEX İzmir Fair
Students from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design within the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at Antalya Bilim University attracted great appreciation with the works they exhibited at IZFURNEX İzmir Fair, held between 25–29 March 2026. The final products produced within the scope of the IAED 3103 Furniture Design course in the 2023–2024 Fall Semester achieved a remarkable success by taking place in the same fair area together with the strong representatives of the sector.
At such a significant organization, with over 300 professional participants from 35 countries and more than 2500 visitors, the designs of ABÜ students stood out not only as academic output but also as a reflection of a strong design vision. The creative perspectives, original interpretations, and high-quality productions of the young designers were the focus of visitors throughout the fair.
The exhibition of student projects on the same platform as professional sector representatives once again revealed the quality of Antalya Bilim University’s design education and the potential of its students. The works presented at the fair received full marks from visitors with their aesthetic approaches, innovative ideas, and striking design languages.
This important participation was not only an exhibition opportunity for the students, but also a highly valuable step in terms of experiencing the dynamics of the professional world closely, presenting their designs to wide audiences, and gaining sectoral visibility. In terms of representation at IZFURNEX İzmir Fair, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Uğur Kahraman, the course coordinator, Asst. Prof. Dr. Enes Can Kılıç, one of the course instructors, Research Assistant Ferhat Koyuncu, the research assistant of the course, and the students took part in the exhibition.
The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Antalya Bilim University continues to bring its students together with platforms that make their productions visible in real sector environments. This success achieved at IZFURNEX 2026 remained in memories as an inspiring and proud experience for the future professional journeys of ABU’s young designers.
